DMX is a rapper, songwriter, actor, and TV/film producer.
DMX (real and full name “Earl Simmons”) started out with beat-boxing. Within a year from then, Simmons was signed to a subsidiary record label, Ruff House, under Columbia Records. His stay was short-lived. However, DMX managed to work and collaborate with various artists, LL Cool J, Mase, Jay-Z, and Ja Rule to name only some. DMX’s appearance on “Money, Power & Respect” by The LOX made him even more famous.
DMX may be best known for his third album, And Then There Was X. The album is best-selling and includes most popular single, “Party Up,” as well as other well-known singles “What’s My Name?” and “What These Bitches Want.”
There’s currently no telling whether DMX has intentions of releasing another album, officially. He announced in 2013 that an eight studio album’s in the works. Today, DMX is no longer associated with the record label (Seven Arts Music) that was going to release his latest album and is currently taking legal action against the record label for the release of any work that was done with the eighth studio album.
